ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

ALT-Universal Ministries (“Ministry”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy governs your access to and use of this website and any related sites operated by ALT-Universal Ministries (collectively, the “Site”). The Ministry respects the privacy concerns of users and is committed to protecting the information collected when you interact with the Site. This Privacy Policy explains what information is gathered and how such information may be used.

By accessing or using the Site, you signify your consent to this Privacy Policy and freely consent to the information collection and use practices described herein. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

This Site operates in the public domain for informational purposes only. All substantive participation in ALT-Universal Ministries occurs solely within the private domain through written Private Membership Agreements. Information shared within the private domain is governed by those private agreements and supersedes this Privacy Policy.

PARTICIPATING MERCHANT & PLATFORM POLICIES

Your use of this Site and related services may also be governed by the policies of Kajabi, LLC, a California limited liability company, and other third-party service providers used to operate the Site (for example, hosting, email delivery, payment processing, analytics). You are encouraged to review the privacy policies and terms of third parties you interact with. Kajabi’s policies may apply to certain aspects of Site operation.

INFORMATION COLLECTED AND USE THEREOF

ALT-Universal Ministries may collect personally identifiable information that you voluntarily provide, including but not limited to your name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, payment information, registration data, and any communications you send to ALT-Universal Ministries.

ALT-Universal Ministries may also collect non-identifying technical information such as IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, access times, and referring URLs. Examples of information we may track include your IP address, browser type, operating system, number of links you click within the Site, state or country from which you accessed the Site, date and time of your visit, name of your internet service provider, web page you linked to our Site from, and pages you viewed on the Site.

Information is gathered to operate and maintain the Site, enhance your online experience, communicate with you, process registrations, administer membership, provide ministry-related services, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. Information is not used for medical, psychological, or diagnostic purposes.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Visitors to our website may be permitted to register for membership and thus access certain services and communications. When registering, we may request personal information such as your name, address, email, telephone number, and other relevant information.

The Site’s various mailing lists, downloads, special offers, contests, registration forms, and surveys may request contact information such as your name and email address, and may request additional information you voluntarily provide. The Ministry will only use information as necessary for legitimate operating interests, including without limitation the improvement of our offerings, services, and the contents of the Site.

The Ministry may share information only with service providers necessary to operate the Site or fulfill Ministry functions. Personally identifiable information is never sold or leased to any third parties.

The Ministry does not store credit card information except as necessary to process transactions through authorized third-party processors and as otherwise permitted by applicable law.

LAWFUL BASIS FOR PROCESSING (INTERNATIONAL USERS)

Where applicable, the Ministry processes personal information based on one or more of the following lawful bases: your consent; contractual necessity related to membership participation and requested services; and the legitimate operational interests of the Ministry.

We will not disclose personally identifiable information we collect from you to third parties without your permission except to the extent necessary, including:

  1. To fulfill your requests for information, teachings, programs, products, or services.

  2. To protect the Ministry from liability or to defend our rights, including investigations of fraud or misconduct, and to respond to legal process or comply with law, including subpoenas.

  3. To use third-party systems and service providers to help operate the Site and manage our communications and databases.

By using the Site, you consent to the transfer, processing, storage, and access of your personal information in and/or outside of the jurisdiction in which you reside.

In compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act, all emails sent from our organization will clearly state who the email is from and provide clear information on how to contact the sender and unsubscribe.

The Ministry may disclose user information in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference (either intentionally or unintentionally) with the Ministry’s rights or property, other users of the Site, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities.

The Ministry may also be required to disclose personal information in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

THIRD-PARTY CONTENT

Third parties who provide and/or publish content via the Ministry’s Kajabi service shall be deemed the data controllers for any personal data contained in content uploaded by such parties (“Third-Party Content”) and any other personal data processed in relation to such Third-Party Content. This Privacy Policy concerns processing for which the Ministry is data controller. If you have questions regarding personal data contained in Third-Party Content, please contact the third-party provider responsible for that content.

PRIVATE DOMAIN DATA

Information shared within the private domain of ALT-Universal Ministries, including but not limited to membership platforms, private communities, sessions, or communications, is governed exclusively by the Private Membership Agreement and any related private contracts and supersedes this Privacy Policy.

DATA RETENTION

The Ministry retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Site, provide services, administer membership, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

PROTECTING YOUR INFORMATION

We use reasonable procedures and commercially reasonable safeguards to protect the information that we collect from you. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You acknowledge that unauthorized access, hacking, data breaches, or system failures may occur and accept this risk. You can help by taking steps to protect your personal information when you are on the internet.

DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION (GENERAL)

ALT-Universal Ministries will not intentionally sell, trade, or rent your personal information. ALT-Universal Ministries may disclose personal information when it believes in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to:
a) comply with applicable law or legal process;
b) enforce these policies or private agreements;
c) protect the rights, property, or safety of ALT-Universal Ministries or others.

YOUR ACCESS TO AND CONTROL OVER YOUR PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

At any time, but only once per calendar year, or as otherwise required under applicable law, users may contact the Ministry to review the personally identifiable information the Ministry has collected about you. If you discover errors, please notify the Ministry and the information will be corrected.

Members may request deletion of a member account by emailing info@alt-university.com with the words “Delete Account” in the subject line.

If you do not have a member account and wish to delete your email address or other personally identifiable information you provided through your use of the Site, please email info@alt-university.com with the words “Delete My Information” in the subject line.

You may also request to limit certain uses of your personal information by emailing info@alt-university.com with the words “Privacy Request” in the subject line.

COMMUNICATION CHOICE / OPT-OUT

By submitting your information, you expressly consent to receive electronic communications from ALT-Universal Ministries, including notices, announcements, agreements, disclosures, reports, documents, and updates. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of emails or by contacting info@alt-university.com.

OTHER DATA

We may share and publicize aggregate and/or de-identified information with third parties and the public.

CHILDREN

The Site is not directed to children under the age of thirteen (13). ALT-Universal Ministries does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If the Ministry discovers that a child under 13 has provided personal information without verifiable parental consent, the Ministry will delete that information.

MALWARE / SPYWARE / VIRUSES

Neither the Ministry nor the Site knowingly permits the use of malware, spyware, viruses, and/or other similar types of software.

THIRD-PARTY LINKS TO EXTERNAL SITES

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or platforms. ALT-Universal Ministries is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such third parties. You should refer to each website’s respective privacy policy and practices prior to disclosing any information.

BULLETIN BOARDS AND CHAT AREAS

Guests of the Site are solely responsible for the content of messages they post on forums, chat rooms, or bulletin boards. When you voluntarily disclose personal information in these areas, that information can be collected and used by others and may result in unsolicited messages. You are responsible for the personal information you choose to submit.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

IN NO EVENT SHALL ALT-UNIVERSAL MINISTRIES OR ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, STEWARDS, VOLUNTEERS, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM DATA COLLECTION, STORAGE, OR USE.

CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request certain information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. The Ministry does not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

TRANSFER OF INFORMATION ACROSS NATIONAL BORDERS

When you access or use the Site and/or services, personal information about you may be transferred and processed in jurisdictions outside your residence. By using the Site, you consent to such transfer and processing.

EU/UK AND OTHER INTERNATIONAL USERS
